PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Eat Paint Studio, Chicago, IL 2007 - present
Freelance Designer. Web and print design for small and creative businesses.

ArtWalkRavenswood, Chicago, IL 2006 - 2007
Executive Director. Drafted original Vision/Mission statement and coordinated events that supported standards of artistic excellence and generated community involvement. Coordinated the organizations first annual fundraiser event in May 2007 netting over $15,000. Wrote for, and was awarded, 2007 CAAP grant ($800) to fund staff and board development. Coordinated the 6th annual Ravenswood Tour of Arts and Industry (52 venues, 120 artists) for Chicago Artists' Month. Designed and implemented marketing and publicity including all print collateral for arts tour. Secured local sponsorship through advertisements and established relationships with businesses and organizations. Initiated and co-taught first program "Intro to Digital Imaging" serving both neighborhood artists and local businesses.

Volunteer web-designer/administrator for the community of artists who have studios at the Cornelia Arts Building in Chicago. The goal of a site is to help make the Cornelia Arts Building a destination point for art buyers, curators and critics and to better represent the diverse, professional, creative work within.

Habitat for Humanity, 2007
One week "Women Build" project in Slidell, LA.

ArtWalkRavenswood, Chicago, IL 2005 - 2006, 2010
Created AWR website featuring work by approximately 90 exhibiting artists and venues. Assisted with organization of 5th annual Tour of Arts and Industry; designed print collateral and forms, solicited artist participation in the creation of the first ArtWalkRavenswood poster, designed the arts tour "map-alogue", map and complete listing of participating artists/venues.

Volunteered to create the 2010 Graphic Poster art for the 9th Annual Tour of Arts and Industry, also creating a CTA rail ad (46 x 60") and designing the arts tour map.

Chicago Women’s Caucus for Art, Chicago, IL 2005 - 2009
Volunteer web-designer/administrator for arts nonprofit. Also created and distributed monthly E-Newsletters, created and administered membership surveys and maintained member communications.
